Top - 40/Radio Songs |

Intermediate students have the option to work on Top-40/ radio songs and other contemporary piano music arrangements. Students can select any song they hear on the radio or select any song in their CD collection. Students are taught to play "by ear." Songs are scored from CD by the teacher during the lesson. Students get the opportunity to watch, listen and participate in the process of charting music directly from an original artist recording. Students are taught to play "in time." Students learn how to match the pulse of the music by playing along with the original artist. Students learn basic studio recording techniques. When pieces start to 'come alive,' performances at lessons can be recorded and then published on the Upscale website.
